Who builds Khata, and how it stays free.

## Common questions

**How is Khata free?**

Khata is built by Lacspace, which runs other products commercially. Khata is free because a shop deciding between a paper register and software should not be deciding on price. There is no in-app purchase, no tier and no trial that expires.

**Will you start charging later?**

We have no plans to, and nothing in the app is built to be switched on for a fee — there is no checkout in the product at all. If that ever changes, it would be announced in advance and would not take away what you already rely on.

**Who can see my business data?**

You and whoever you give a login to. Data is encrypted in transit, and you can permanently delete your account and everything in it from inside the app at any time, without asking us.
