The mobile app is free, with every feature included. The web dashboard is arranged with the team.

## Common questions

**Is the app really free, or is it a trial?**

Free, and not a trial. There is no checkout anywhere in the mobile app, no tier that unlocks for a fee, and no expiry date on anything. Nothing you set up today stops working in thirty days.

**What is the catch?**

There is no upsell inside the app. Khata is built by Lacspace, which runs other products commercially, and a shop choosing between a paper register and software should not be choosing on price. What we get is shops using it and telling us what to fix.

**How much does the web dashboard cost?**

No price is published because nothing is sold through this site. The dashboard is for larger businesses that need a computer as well as a phone, and it is arranged directly with the team — tell us your shop size and what you want a computer for, and we will tell you where you stand.

**Do I need a card to start?**

No. Install the app and enter your shop details — that is the whole sign-up. We never ask for a card, because there is nothing in the app to charge one for.

**What happens to my data if I stop using Khata?**

It stays yours. Every report exports to CSV before you go, and you can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app without asking us. There is no exit fee and no hold on your own records.
