Which receipt printers work?

Bluetooth thermal printers pair directly with the mobile app, which covers most 58mm and 80mm counter printers. From the dashboard you print through your computer's normal print dialog, so anything your computer can print to will work.

Do I need a barcode scanner?

No. The app scans barcodes with the phone camera, which is enough for most counters. A USB or Bluetooth scanner works too if you already have one and prefer the speed.

There is no public API yet

Plenty of products publish a developer portal before the API behind it is ready for anyone to build on. We would rather say it straight: Khata does not currently offer public API keys, and there is no published reference to integrate against.
